Sometimes we have to deal with what the Lord has sent us.
We will not glorify a program, or a system, or a movement, or a man we will not complicate the simplistic message of Christ… We are not here for programs we are here to glorify the Son of God and see humanity reached! That’s all! We are not here for comfort, convenience or ease. We are not here to glorify Abraham, Moses, or anybody else but one, Jesus.
Let me do this…
Two days ago I was privileged to do a live painting at a church where my friends Barry and Michelle Patterson where performing. I haven’t done a live painting since college… so like 7 to 8 years ago. You could say I was somewhat nervous. Okay, alot nervous. Little did I know that God was going to use that hour and 20minutes to change my life.
Leading up to the night I was doing all I could to try and prepare myself. I watched youtube videos for live paintings, I checked out forums, I even did some tweeting with a local artist (Scott Erickson) to get some advice and opinions. Honestly I was freaking out and looking everywhere for comfort but where I needed to be looking.
Once Saturday came around and I began to approach my canvas, brush in hand, this beautiful feeling came over me. Along with the feeling where these words, “Let me do this. Let me take over. I am the Lord God.”
…and so I did…
I can’t even tell you really what happened after that. My hands just seemed to fly over the blank canvas and without thinking I picked, mixed, and blended colors. By the last song the Patterson’s sang I was putting the finishing touches on the piece.
God is so good! The picture below doesn’t really show all the details and texture but that’s okay. I just wanted to share!
Oh yeah, and it sold!
