living in the exceeding grace of God…

This morning while driving to work I had such a sweet, sweet time with my love, Jesus. I was so moved by the Spirit and His filling of my soul… Even still I feel like I’m looking at the world around me through a glowing misty haze. It’s heavenly…

Below is the verse God gave to me. I pray if finds you well.

But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,  even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ ( by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. -Ephesians 2:4-7

something to chew on…

If you are looking for your next podcast to follow you totally need to search Judah Smith. Judah is the pastor at The City Church in Seattle and my goodness God’s got a hold of that man.

Yesterday I downloaded his sermon series called Jesus Is Bringing Sexy Back. So awesome. One thing Judah said that hit me between the eyes today while listening to the first episode was this…

Where’s the church big enough for everybody?Jesus help us…Sometimes we’re are own worst enemies. We pray for lost people to come and then they come and based on our rating system we think its inappropriate… “he smell, look what she’s wearing, did you hear what he said my goodness”…It doesn’t fit our ideal. And we see them and stop seeing ‘me’. Before I know it I’m standing at an alter somewhere praying some pompous prayer saying “God thank you that I’m not like that man”, but God says “No, ___, you are that man! Apart from my grace and my choosing you are that man!”. We got people hurting. We got people broken. We got people dying… and we’re busy ranking sins!

Chew on that for a while.

Sunday Worship Set

You Are My Passion - Jesus Culture

Came To My Rescue - Hillsong United

Those Who Trust - Salvador

I Am Set Free - All Sons & Daughters

The Jesus Culture One Day worship gathering last night at Verizon Theater was everything I wanted and needed it to be. I loved every minute of being surrounded by hungry believers and seekers of Jesus, pursuing after His heart through worship and prayer.

For me, the most refreshing part of the evening, besides the amazing music, was seeing people reaching out and praying for one another. Goodness how I miss that… All around the theater, even in the parking lot, people huddled with arms extended praying for their friends, their family, calling out a spirit of fire for their cities and the nations. It was SO encouraging and SO beautiful to see real community happening. Everyone coming together chasing after our Great and Might God… so, so good.

If you get a chance to be apart of this or any night of worship with Jesus Culture (really anyone from Bethel Church in Redding, CA) don’t miss out. The ministry coming out of that place is Spirit stirring and it’s catching like wildfire. They truly are being the church and are setting great examples for what we all should be doing as followers of Jesus.

I will live by the light of the glory You shine on me!
I will live by the grace that You offer so freely!

Jesus You’ve called me friend
Jesus You’ve made me what I am
Jesus You are my life within

-Story of Gracy by United Pursuit Band

This is my hearts song today;soaking in it. He is so good…

saved and covered by the Blood of the Lamb…

Thank You Lord Jesus for giving me this song on this beautiful day! The penalty of sin is death and death was mine until You died on the cross for me. You held my sin on Your shoulders and You rose from the grave so that I could live with You in the heavenly places. Praise to the Father for His resurrection!! I will embrace accusation because I have been saved and covered by the Blood of the Lamb!

The father of lies/ is coming to steal
Kill and destroy/ All my hopes of being good enough
I hear him saying cursed are the ones
Who can’t abide/ He’s right
Alleluia he’s right!

The devil is preaching/ The song of the redeemed
That I am cursed and gone astray
I cannot gain salvation
Embracing accusation

Could the father of lies/ Be telling the truth
Of God to me tonight?
If the penalty of sin is death/ Then death is mine
I hear him saying cursed are the ones
Who can’t abide/ He’s right
Alleluia he’s right!

Oh the devil’s singing over me
An age old song/ That I am cursed and gone astray
Singing the first verse so conveniently
He’s forgotten the refrain
Jesus saves!
