Gateway Generate Night of Worship...
This last Friday night I went to the Gateway Southlake campus for their Generate Night of Worship. It was 2 hours of AMAZING, WONDERFUL, FREEDOM FILLED, PASSIONATE worship to Jesus. I didn’t know just how much I needed to soak in His presence until we were 3 songs in and I was already in tears. I absolutely loved being in the midst of so many believers worshiping in spirit and in truth.

being lead through the triumph in Christ...
Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting. (Psalm 126:5)
The Lord gave me this verse a couple of days ago. He’s known for a while now that I’ve been carrying around a heavy spirit. I’ve felt weighted down with change and the dirtiness of spiritual battles running ramped everywhere around me. Constantly I’ve found myself having to refocus my thoughts and ask God to blanket my heart...

light dances across hardwood floors...
There is an art gallery and studio that I pass everyday going into work. It sits just behind the downtown square in a little converted house. Through the large white graphed windows you can see easels adorned with beautiful art work of all sizes and mediums. Sunlight streams in and dances across the dark wood floors then catches the brilliant colors of supplies and pallets on tables. Sometimes, if...

Moneyball and a little Jesus...
My honey and I last night watched Moneyball with Brad Pit, Jonah Hill, and Philip Seymour Hoffman just to name a few. It was good! I’m not a baseball fan, but I do enjoy a good movie about sports and we’d heard good reviews from friends about it.
There were a few amazing quotes in the movie. The one that stood out to me most was said by Brad Pits character, Billie. He said, “How can you not be...

A breathtaking Sunday morning...
I went to The Oaks Fellowship yesterday for service. I heard that Shane & Shane and Phil Wickham were going to be doing an extended time of worship and because I wasn’t leading at Cornerstone Sunday I decided to go. I’m SO glad I did…
The Shane’s started out by doing a couple of songs off their new album and then Phil did a about 4 of his songs from various records....

mercy as infinite as You...
I’m not a fan of surface level worship. I connect more with worship songs that have some depth to them and are artistically and strategically constructed. Off the top of my head the first song that comes to mind that does just this is How He Loves by John Mark McMillan. That song wasn’t even written to be a worship song but became one because, I believe, its message was constructed in such a...
